Col. Robert P. Ashe, commander of 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga., engages in a tour of the premises with Lt. Col. Theodore Johnson, squadron commander of 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment and a native of Fairfax, Va., during his visit at Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase, Romania, May 9. Ashe visited the base to inspect the living conditions for the soldiers stationed in Romania as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve as part of the United States' continued commitment to collective security through a series of actions designed to reassure NATO allies and partners of America's dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region, in light of the Russian intervention in the Ukraine.
