During a port visit to Port Louie, Mauritius, July 31, Sailors from USS Arleigh Burke demonstrate visit, board, search and seizure techniques for Sailors from Mauritius national coast guard. Arleigh burke's visit kicks off several days of in port and at sea training with the Mauritius National Coast Guard as part of the Africa Partnership Station. APS is an international initiative led by Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Africa/Commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet. The initiative is aimed at improving maritime safety and security for the continent of Africa through training and other collaborative activities with African partner countries.
