Douglas Wilstie, Army program executive officer for Enterprise Information Systems, cuts the ceremonial lei commissioning the first operational AN/GSC-52B(V5) Modernized Enterprise Terminal (MET) at the Wahiawa Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Facility Hawaii on April 16. METs will support Internet Protocol and Dedicated Circuit connectivity within the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN), providing a significant increase in the ability to provide Joint Commanders in the Pacific with Command and Control of their forces.
