150512-N-YD641-167 YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 12, 2015) Damage Controlman 1st Class Jeffery Macatangay, from North Hills, Calif., front, and Damage Controlman 3rd Class Luis Hernandez, from Chicago, take a sample of aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) solution during a countermeasure wash-down on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington is underway conducting sea trials to evaluate and assess the ship's equipment status and personnel readiness for follow-on at-sea training.
