NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (May 12, 2015) Lt. Jared McCaleb, assigned to Pre-commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), gives the “all clear” sign for the armature component of the electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) to retract during a full-speed “no load” test.
