John Farnam, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar commanding officer, accept the 2015 Environmental Protection Agency Federal Green Challenge Award for Energy from Gina McCarthy, the EPA administrator May 20 at the public works building on MCAS Miramar, California. In 2014, MCAS Miramar had the greatest percentage reduction in energy use nationally and cut its fuel oil consumption by 98%.
