Iraqi air force Lt. Ali Huessien assigned to the 70th Iraqi Air Force Squadron and U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Corey Thomas, from South Hill, Va., assigned to the 14th Division Military Transition Team, wait for the training to begin, by receiving a radio call, at Contingency Operations Base, Basra, Iraq, Aug. 6. The U.S. Air Force's 84th Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron and the U.S. Army's Echo Company, 45th Task Force C-RAM, conduct training with the 70th Iraqi Air Force Squadron, to increase the capabilities of the Iraqi air force, by conducting operations with ground forces, resulting in a operational capability to support Iraqi security forces from the air.
