ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 23, 2015) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuels) 3rd Class Curtis Richardson, from Redding, Calif., reels in a fishing line on the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). Wasp, with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 (VMFA-121) and Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 (VMFAT-501) embarked, is underway conducting the first phase of operational testing (OT-1) which will evaluate the full spectrum of F-35B measures of suitability and effectiveness in an at-sea environment.
