Nearly 1,000 Al Anbar men - 813 from Fallujah alone - volunteered to join the Iraqi Army more than a month ago and are now ready for service across Iraq. This is the first step at integrating Sunnis from Al Anbar into the Iraqi Army. Five more basic training classes are slated throughout the coming year.
