Garan Davidson, a satellite communication technician from the 50th Signal Battalion (Expeditionary) located in Fort Bragg, N.C., watched his previous rank get torn from his uniform at his promotion ceremony during Beyond the Horizon 2015 in Comando de Ingenieros de las Fuerza Armada, El Salvador, May 27. The promotion ceremony occurred mid-flight on a UH-60 Black Hawk. Task Force Northstar's mission during BTH is to provide civic and humanitarian assistance to the people of El Salvador.
