U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Edward Greeley speaks about Lance Cpl. Jared R. Johnson during a memorial service for Johnson aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, May 19, 2015. Greeley is the commanding officer for Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. During the ceremony, Greeley had this to say of Johnson, “The loss of Lance Cpl. Johnson has been felt by all in the [15th MEU] and we will honor his memory by how we live our life every day.”
