150531-N-WD161-213 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 31, 2015) – Marines from the Thunderbolts of Marine Strike Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 251 participate in a change of command ceremony on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Lieutenant Colonel Joshua A. Riggs was relieved by Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas O. Neimer. Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
