During the Change of Command, Col. Michael Shea, the 49th Maintenance Group commander was the presiding officer and Maj. Rebecca A. Hart, the 49th AMXS incoming commander, assumed command. The 49th AMXS has 359 assigned Airmen to maintain nine MQ-1B Predator remotely piloted aircraft in support of the 6th Reconnaissance Squadron, 22 MQ-9A Reaper remotely piloted aircraft in support of the 9th and 29th Attack Squadrons and 11 ground control stations and associated satellite communications assets that encompass command and control capability for the aircraft.
