150610-N-OR477-040 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (June 10, 2015) Construction Mechanic 1st Class Colter Smith, Left, and Construction Mechanic Construction Garrentt Jarvis, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11, re-enact the 1965 Battle of Dong Xoai to honor Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Marvin Shields. Shields, the first and only Seabee to receive the Medal of Honor, was fatally wounded during the battle, where he saved numerous American lives.
