Col. Mike J. Musiol, commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. William J. Yeargan of the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, relinquished the brigade colors during a change of command and change of responsibility in a ceremony Tuesday at Pike Field. Musiol handed over the command of the brigade to Col. Erik O. Gibert and Yeargan handed the brigade’s responsibility to Command Sgt. Maj. William G. Elliott. The brigade redeployed its colors last month from a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel.
