Capt. Josiah Faber, left, a L.A. County Deputy Sheriff, and his team, Sgt. Samuel Crook, far right, a freelance web designer, and Spc. Nefftali Guillen, center, a maintenance technician for Toyota, log in coordinates based off of visual recognition of enemy vehicles displayed on a wall screen at the Call for Fire trainer at Fort Hunter Liggett. While at annual training, June 6-20, 2015, these scouts with Troop A, 1st Squadron, 18th Cavalry Regiment, based out of Ontario, got a chance to brush up on their skill set. Using a map, binos, and protractor, the Soldiers called in their fire mission and watched black plumes of smoke explode in the virtual world, eventually destroying their enemy.
