The U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon performs during an evening parade at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., June 12, 2015. The Honorable Mac Thornberry was the guest of honor for the parade and Gen. John M. Paxton, assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, was the hosting official for that same parade. The Evening Parade summer tradition began in 1934 and features the Silent Drill Platoon, the U.S. Marine Band, the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and two marching companies.
