While the USS Decatur patrols the waters on the east side of the Al Basrah Oil Terminal Aug. 26, two Sailors maintain a lookout over the open waters of the Persian Gulf. The ship, named after Capt. Stephen Decatur, the youngest man to reach the rank of captain in the United States Navy at the age of 16, celebrated its 11th birthday Aug. 29.
