LAVARACK BARRACKS, QUEENSLAND, Australia – Soldiers with 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, Australian Army, Australian Defence Force, demonstrate their basic infantry training procedures for Marines with Company C, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, May 26 at Lavarack Barracks, Queensland, Australia. After the demonstration, the Marines and Australian soldiers would discuss how their training differs with the subtlest of changes and how they can learn from each other. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with their Australian allies and improves interoperability between the two forces.
