Lance Cpl. Eliut R. Hidalgo, a native of Wendell, Idaho, and a heavy equipment operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 22, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, guides a multi-terrain loader operated by Pfc. Alexcia L. Mauro, also a heavy equipment operator with CLB-22, as it compacts freshly laid asphalt on Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Sept. 2. The CLB-22 engineers paved a smooth path from the Troop Medical Center to the casevac landing pad. The 22nd MEU is conducting sustainment training ashore in Kuwait while serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. Central Command.
