A U.S. Soldier with the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment from Charlie Company, ground guides a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected truck outside of a compound near Forward Operating Base Ramrod, Sept. 7, in the Maywand District. The MRAP is designed to withstand ambushes and improvised explosive devices and can travel up to 30 mph on two flat tires.
