Retired Capt. John Meyer, professor for U.S. Naval War College (NWC), speaks with senior Navy officer and civilian community leaders during the Leader Development Continuum (LDC) council’s Implementation and Execution Arm working group at NWC in Newport, R.I. The council met March 17-19, to exchange ideas, thoughts and best practices related to Adm. Jonathan Greenert’s, chief of Naval Operations, Navy Leader Development Strategy (NLDS). The NLDS, signed by Greenert in 2013, provides a common framework for leader development, regardless of community, that is both comprehensive and enduring. The working group is currently tasked with taking the LDC from conceptual to operational.
