Patrol Squadron 9 catcher Justin Bacon attempts to tag out Daniel Salvucci, the first baseman for the Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 3 team, during a 101 Days of Summer Softball Tournament game at Annex Field, June 28, 2015. VP-9 beat VMU-3 with a score of 12-3 during the tournament. Active duty service members and dependents were eligible to participate in the single elimination tournament, which had 17 teams. The tournament was part of the 101 Days of Summer Program, which promotes activities throughout the summer instead of risk-related behavior such as drug or alcohol abuse. Service members can earn points for their unit by participating in each program event. Headquarters Battalion came in first place, and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24 came in second.
