Seaman Jared Clark ensures blood bags are ready to receive donations, June 23, at the Pacific Command Armed Services Blood Bank Center, U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa. Clark is a lab technician with the center. According to Clark, the bag contains anticoagulant which prevents the blood from clotting while in the bag. The blood is either frozen and pre-positioned at blood product depots, or sent to blood supply units in the field. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Jessica Collins/Released)
