Col. Leslie A. Knight, the 49th Medical Group commander, presents Lt. Col. Kathleen Mackey, the outgoing 49th Medical Support Squadron commander, with an Air Force Meritorious Service Medal on Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., July 7, 2015. Knight was the presiding officer over the formal change of command ceremony where Mackey relinquished command to Lt. Col. Elbert Alford. The 49th MDSS has 77 active duty and civilian personnel who maintain the operation of all medical support activities, medical readiness items, facility management, and pharmacy operations.
