150704-N-OY319-001 PENSACOLA, FL (July 4, 2015) More than 18,000 fans attended a Tour for the Troops concert and fireworks show July 4 onboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, featuring country artist headliner Darius Rucker. The concert, which also featured special guests Michael Ray and Jacob Davis, was sponsored by the Air Force Reserve, NAS Pensacola Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR), Pen Air Federal Credit Union and Kia Autosports. A native of Charleston, S.C, Rucker was the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish before successfully launching his solo career. According to the singer’s website (www.dariusrucker.com), Rucker has helped raise more than $220,000 for childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the sixth annual Darius and Friends benefit concert earlier this month in Nashville, Tenn. Ray and Davis are two up-and-coming country music performers. Ray recently released his debut single, "Kiss You in the Morning," and Davis is a singer-songwriter from Shreveport, La., who now lives in Nashville. Photo by Billy Enfinger/Released
