Gainsville, Texas, native Pfc. Marc Hacker (left), a dismount infantryman assigned to Company C "Crazy Horse," 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, receives a coin from Lt. Gen. Charles Jacoby Jr. (right), the commanding general for Multi-National Corps - Iraq, at Joint Security Station Shield, Sept. 18. Hacker received his coin for his quick response in returning fire on the enemy during an engagement of small arms fire while on a dismounted patrol Sept. 15.
