ARABIAN GULF (July 6, 2015) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Uriel Bermoy, top, fights to free his arm from 1st Lt. Erik Glynn during a short-range marksmanship qualification course aboard the dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Bermoy is a rifleman with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Glynn is a platoon commander with BLT 3/1, 15th MEU. Marines grappled for two minutes prior to going through the course of fire to simulate firing under stress and fatigue, which can occur in combat. The marksmanship course refined Marines combat marksmanship skills and incorporated the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, which reinforces their warrior ethos. The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
