An LC-130 "Skibird" with the 109th Airlift Wing from Stratton Air National Guard Base, Scotia, N.Y., takes off from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, June 29, 2014, for Summit Camp. Two LC-130s and 70 Airmen from the Wing recently completed the fourth rotation of the 2014 Greenland season. The unit flies supply and refueling missions to various camps in support of the National Science Foundation and also trains for the Operation Deep Freeze mission in Antarctica.
