Staff Sgt. Kimberly Calkins, unit public affairs representative for the 138th Quartermaster Company, 751st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade and Brazil, Ind., native, decorated her race bib with the names of 13 family and friends who have battled cancer. The names represent each mile she would run in the Maj. Megan McClung, United States Marine Corps Memorial Half-Marathon held on Al Asad Airbase Aug. 15, 2009. Each name served as motivation for Calkins as she ran the 13.1 mile course.
