Indiana National Guard Col. David Wood, Task Force 38 commander, affixes a 38th Infantry Division to patch to the right shoulder of Lt. Col. Don Strube's uniform in a combat patch ceremony at Joint Base Balad, Iraq on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The combat patch is formally known as the shoulder sleeve insignia - former wartime service, and Soldiers receive one for deploying to a combat zone.
