The elements of the warrior's memorial -- boots, helmet, identification tags and rifle -- were carried forward by Marines from 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion to honor Cpl. Stephen R. Bixler, who was killed in action May 4, 2006. He was memorialized by his fellow Marines May 12 at Camp Fallujah's Chapel of Hope.
