150523-N-YM718-002 SEPANGGAR, Malaysia (May 23, 2015) – The submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) arrives in Sepanggar, Malaysia, to conduct theater security cooperation engagements with the Royal Malaysian Navy and to conduct a tended mooring with a fast-attack submarine. Tended moorings provide forward-deployed submarines hotel services, afloat maintenance and supply support to enable them to continue operating forward. Emory S.
