Tom Gorey, executive officer of the Submarine Tender USS Frank Cable, leads a group from the Japanese House of Counsillors (JHC) on a tour of the ship, March 2. The members of the JHC came aboard to acquire knowledge about the role and function of the ships and facilities of Sasebo to aid in discussing issues related to the Japan-US alliance. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
