(June 17, 2015) Congratulations to Michael Clark III and Haley Jenkins, winners of the 2015 Nick and Mary Mathews Scholarship and Captain Carlton Wright Scholarship, respectively, June 17, at Naval Weapons Station (WPNSTA) Yorktown. Captain Paul Haebler, WPNSTA Yorktown Commanding Officer, presented the high school seniors with the first installment of their scholarship award. The Mathews’ Scholarship is awarded to the dependent of an active duty military service member assigned to WPNSTA Yorktown. The Wright Scholarship is awarded to the dependent of a civilian employee at WPNSTA Yorktown. The scholarship winners can reapply for the scholarships annually for four years while studying at any college or university while maintaining a 3.0 GPA. (Photo by Mark Piggott)
