Anwar Hamad Amen Ahmed, Iraqi air force commander, discuss the on-going construction of the new air traffic control tower, Sept. 24. The was the first joint visit by Anwar and Kane, and marked a significant step in providing the Iraqi air force with a better understanding of what assets will be available to support them here when the base is transitioned to the government of Iraq.
