A wreath lies at the base of a granite epitaph June 27 at Peace Memorial Park. The epitaph is inscribed with the names of those who died during the 90-day Battle of Okinawa. Flowers and wreaths are tokens from visitors honoring the memories of those lost during the fight. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Jessica Collins/Released)
