Ms. Raeeceen Woolford, the 2009 Miss Hawaii listens to a speech by Chet Adessa, the Family Advocacy Prevention Specialist for the Navy in Hawaii while at the proclamation signing for Domestic Violence Awareness Month at the Fleet & Family Support Center - Hawaii located at Moanalua Navy Services Center, Sept. 28, 2009. U.S. Navy Region - Hawaii Commander Rear Admiral Dixon Smith signed the proclamation and Hawaii state Senator Will Espero and Hawaii House Representative Lynn Finnegan also attended the event. There will be seven events throughout the month to raise awareness among the military and civilian communities.
