Students of the Al Amal deaf Institute, Al Rumaiytha District, Muthanna province, Iraq, received equipment needed for education and information access Sept.14 from the Provincial Reconstruction Team, Muthanna, and the U.S. Army based at Camp Adder. The school received 80 hearing aids, two flat-screen televisions with DVD players and a generator. They also received school supplies and toys. The delivery of these items is the culmination of a 10-month long project. The PRT and U.S. military will continue to work with the students, teachers and community to make the transition from assistance to self-sustainment.
