Members of the 2nd Platoon, 62nd Transportation Company (Arctic Trans.) pose for one last photo prior of their redeployment back to Fort Richardson, Alaska. The platoon has driven more than 200,000 miles throughout the Al Anbar province on a 15-month tour. The Spartans supported the 1-303rd Cavalry Regiment not only with a quick reaction force of tankers and heavy equipment transport vehicles but also a reserve squad of ASVs all while conducting combat logistic patrols out of Al Taquddum, Iraq. Currently, "Second to None" are dominating the roads out of Al Asad Air Base where they were relocated for the last four months of the deployment. About 75 percent of the platoon are in their first tour in Iraq, driving for the first time on a wide range of vehicles including the M915 Tractor/trailer, M1076 Palletized Load System, the M1070/1000 HET System, and the RT240 Kalmar.
