150716-N-QW561-099 CAMP ROBERTS, Calif. (July 16, 2015) Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Alumni Lt. Ray Davis loads an unmanned aerial vehicle into the automated multi-plane propulsion system (AMPPS) at Camp Roberts, McMillan Airfield, July 16. Davis designed AMPPS for his thesis project at NPS and is continuing his education after graduating with field trials in support of NPS’ Advanced Robotics Systems Engineering Laboratory. The mission of NPS is to provide relevant and unique advanced education and research programs to increase the combat effectiveness of commissioned officers of the Naval Service to enhance the security of the United States.
