INDIAN OCEAN (July 23, 2015) – A landing craft air cushion (LCAC) assigned to Naval Beach Unit, (NBU) 7, brings Marine personnel and equipment, from the 31st MarineExpeditionary Unit (MEU) into the well deck of forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD6) after amphibious exercises ashore . Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
