Divers assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1, use the BR-67 hydraulic tool while conducting Rapid Penetration Testing (RPT). The purpose for the test is to check geological stability of soil prior to driving piles used to support the Elevated Causeway System (ELCAS) a modular pier system that is used to move vehicles and equipment efficiently from ship to shore.
