The incoming kindergarteners met with their teachers before their first full day of instruction. Mokapu Elementary, located on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, is one of the largest schools on the Windward side of Oahu with an enrollment of more than 800 students. The mission of all of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, including Mokapu Elementary School, is to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
