A group of newly-inducted cadets recite the Freestate ChalleNGe Academy Honor Code during a Crossover Ceremony at the Aberdeen Proving Ground South (Edgewood) recreation center July 27. The honor code is meant to guide the cadets' actions while at the academy, pledging to live honestly and respectfully and to be good representatives of the FCA. The Freestate ChalleNGe Academy, hosted at Aberdeen Proving Ground, is endorsed by the State of Maryland and is a cooperative agreement between The Maryland National Guard and the National Guard Bureau. Maryland teens enrolled in FCA are considered "at risk youth" who have dropped out of high school and are looking for a fresh start. (Photo by Stacy Smith, APG News)
