(July 30, 2015) Engineering Aid 2nd Class Julia Glosek and Builder 2nd Class Kelley Gee, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18, form fit a piece of plywood to be installed on a model convenience store, part of the “search city” training facility at the National Disaster Search and Rescue Dog Foundation’s National Training Center. Seabees, from active duty and reserve units based out of Port Hueneme, Calif., are constructing various training facilities at the center to simulate realistic disaster scenarios for search dogs under the Department of Defense Innovative Readiness Training Program.
