INDIAN ISLAND, Wash. (Aug. 1, 2015) Culinary Specialist Alexander Day, from Flint, Mich., assigned to the Gold crew of the Ohio-class guided missile submarine USS Michigan (SSGN 727), throws a heaving line to line to the Blue crew aboard Michigan as the ship arrives at Naval Magazine (NAVMAG) Indian Island following a 20-month deployment. Michigan was forward deployed to Guam, where it conducted surveillance, training and other critical missions in the 7th Fleet Area of Operation.
