Spc. Trey Sites, Company B, 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, slogs through a stream running through the Korengal Valley floor in Afghanistan's Kunar province, Sept. 26. Sites, a native of Manheim, Pa., and fellow 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Soldiers arrived in the valley in June, where they have been working with the Afghan government and security forces to improve the lives of its citizens.
