Soldiers assigned to the Multinational Battle Group-East headquarters take a quick rest while scaling the summit of Mount Ljuboten, a peak in southern Kosovo, during an Aug. 2, 2015, climb to earn the Edelweiss Badge, a traditional military award for Germany’s mountain warfare troops. Alongside their German guides, the U.S. Soldiers hiked to the top, an elevation of 8,196 ft., and returned to receive the badge.
