INDIAN OCEAN (July 23, 2015) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Chevon Ferrel, right, demonstrates a speed-reload with a M9 service pistol aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Ferrel is a member of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Female Engagement Team and an ammunition technician specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th MEU. The FET taught pistol marksmanship to a group of inexperienced Marines to become more confident in their teaching skills. The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
